Michael Meissner boasts a rich and diverse professional journey, having served in pivotal roles that span the spectrum of healthcare innovation. As a former board member and chairman of the Scrum Alliance, he lent his expertise to empower agile change makers worldwide, facilitating the seamless integration of agile methodologies into corporations ranging from burgeoning startups to esteemed Fortune 500 entities.

During his tenure at Medtronic, Michael was General Manager for the Patient Management Business, orchestrating a global initiative to enhance cardiac implant offerings for patients and physicians alike. With a keen focus on optimising user experience and streamlining workflows, he spearheaded efforts to elevate the accessibility and efficacy of these critical solutions on a global scale.

Prior to Medtronic, Michael served as the Chief Technology Officer at Sanofi within the Medical Device Development group (MED). Here, he led pioneering efforts in digital drug delivery systems, leveraging data analytics to enhance patient compliance and outcomes across a spectrum of chronic and rare diseases. His innovative endeavors extended to a joint venture between UPMC and GE Healthcare, where he drove the transformation of traditional pathology departments into cutting-edge digital ecosystems. By implementing advanced slide scanning technologies and integrated workflow solutions, he revolutionised diagnostic processes, ensuring superior patient care.

Before his time at Sanofi, Michael was Vice President of Engineering at Vital Images (now a Toshiba company), where he championed the transition of radiology image review from two-dimensional to advanced three-dimensional platforms. His visionary leadership paved the way for enhanced diagnostic capabilities and superior patient outcomes.

Embarking on his entrepreneurial journey, Michael's inaugural venture in a virtual colonoscopy startup yielded groundbreaking results, as evidenced by a seminal study published in the New England Journal of Medicine. This early success underscored his unwavering commitment to leveraging technology to tackle healthcare's most pressing challenges. Driven by a profound belief in agility and armed with an innate entrepreneurial spirit, Michael remains steadfast in his dedication to crafting innovative solutions that address the evolving landscape of healthcare, with a relentless focus on overcoming workflow obstacles to drive success.
